It’s time to recap all the features and announcements we made for the Power BI service and mobile for the months of October and November.

Announcing AI Premium Workload, Cognitive Services and Azure ML general availability

Today, we’re announcing general availability (GA) for cognitive services, Azure ML and the AI workload in Power BI Premium. The AI workload will now be enabled by default for all P-nodes, as well as nodes A3/EM3 and above, allowing the users of those capacities to use cognitive services in dataflows right away. A new workload setting is added to separately enable Automated ML, which remains in public preview.

Introducing Siri Integration with Power BI Mobile iOS App (preview)

We’re happy to announce that the Power BI Mobile iOS app is now integrated with Siri shortcuts. Now, you’ll be able to just say “Hey Siri, open my report” and you’ll get the content you’re looking for.  Together with Siri shortcuts, we’re also introducing device level search (Spotlight) which allows you to easily search for, and find, Power BI content on your device. These new capabilities, Siri shortcuts and Spotlight search, help you easily locate and quickly access your reports and dashboards without navigating through the app.

Power BI Desktop November 2018 Feature Summary

We have a massive Power BI Desktop update this month. Composite models, which allow you combine direct query and import sources together in one model, is now generally available. Two of the top feature requests on UserVoice, expand/collapse on the matrix and copy and pasting visuals between Desktop files, are also shipping this month. We are previewing a completely revamped filter pane that is highly customizable and have a ton of other product updates as well!
