We have, in our Open Data Initiative, a considerable number of datasets but faced the challenge of showing the data in several dashboards. The challenge was extremely hard because we wanted easy integration, quick deploy and good looking analysis. We also wanted the possibility to integrate with external data sources and have the ability of linking several datasets in the same report. One other very important functionality was having a template framework in order to reduce developing time and data validation.

Open Data
We studied several options and Power BI did respond to the challenge mentioned above. It connected with no issues to our website data but has several data sources options that work very well between them.
Another functionality that we considered important was the possibility of extracting and transforming data within the platform. The visualizations are also very friendly allowing drill downs and other analysis that are very significant to us.
And last but not least, it allows us to share these dashboards within the organization, setting a new standard and new behaviors in the way we see our information and transform it into knowledge.
