Power BI for Finance

Headshot of article author The Power BI Team

Finance professionals have relied on Excel for years to come up with reports and data analyses that deliver the answers they are looking for. That is why we believe that the new Power BI features in Excel and in Office 365 are so relevant for people in this role.

Here at Microsoft we have faced the same issues that every finance department has faced over decades — to curate, to analyze and share data, to ask the right questions to get the right answers, and to collaborate to execute on solutions for the problems that we face.

Marc Reguera, Finance Director at Microsoft has been part of this process since 1994, but at the same time he has been part of the journey that has taken Microsoft Finance to a brand new place. But don’t take our word for it. Hear directly from Marc about how finance and BI have changed over the last few years, and how using tools such as Power View, finance professionals can spend more time finding solutions and less time working on transforming and formatting data.

Don’t forget to visit our new Finance section at PowerBI.com to see firsthand how Power View can help you create interactive dashboards and to check other videos created by Marc around how to use Power BI and how other executives at Microsoft are using Power View to improve their group’s performance saving resources and time.
