Mining in Chile
Aware of the importance of asset management in the outcome of the business, companies worldwide, for some time, are incorporating reliability engineering to management, which has the task to control, to project and improve the asset maintenance function for the benefit of the business. Reliability engineering is a series of continuous improvement processes, which incorporate systematically, advanced diagnostic tools, analytical methodologies and new technologies to optimize the management, planning, execution and control of industrial production throughout the life cycle facilities; and the optimal way to assess the implementation and impact of these improvements, or new policies, is through a rigorous process of analysis. This is an important factor on the effectiveness of systems, logistics support and life cycle costs.
This PowerBI report presents maintenance indicators for the Dry Area of a open pit mining in Chile. This area is composed by sectors Primary Crushing, Secondary crushing, Tertiary crushing, Agglomeration, and Stack Mining. The indicators provide information of:
The operational availability of assets, their utilization and production per month
Highlight the main modes of failure per month
Rank the failure modes for focus the efforts in maintenance for eliminate and/or minimize them
Maintenance and reliability indicators by area
Itemize production and yields for the period
Global efficiency indicators of the plant, using the OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) metrics
Production and loss in tons. per day
This reports allows the clients to make better decisions that improve the production rates and reliability, in the engineering stage as the operation so as to increase the effectiveness of the system and reduce the requirements on it.
