The client wanted to understand how their recent social and collaboration investments were being utilized compared to how they were in the past. They wanted to invigorate knowledge sharing within the company and also discover insights that could lead to better knowledge sharing. Fundamentally lacking a BI solution, the client had been relying on a generation of manual reports based on siloed and disconnected data sources.
The report creation process and hefty cost involved in manually collating the information from multiple sources hindered any reporting benefit the client was hoping to achieve. As a result, they needed a modern BI solution that would allow them to run analysis in real-time and with full information self-service capability.
To enable information self-service, we chose to use Power BI as a platform to integrate their enterprise social tools such as Yammer, One Drive for Business, SharePoint Online and Google Analytics.
