This solution is an example of a solution we built for an Imports Organization. The client requested our assistance in making use of their financial data, to help them gain overall business insights to enable them to make better decisions. We used Power BI to create the report and visualizations to help them get a better handle on their business. Power BI made the building process fast, with drag and drop visualizations, quick loading and fast response times.

The solution shows total sales revenue, total expenses, gross profit and net profit, and allows the client to compare these variables on a monthly basis.
 
The profit/loss information can be filtered on revenue by account name, account and year;  the KPI matrix shows different values for each of the different variables, and there is a breakdown of the profit/loss by year and month. 

They can view revenue and expenses sorted by year-month, they can also view a table which provides greater detail.

Lastly the client can view budget information and compare the actuals to see how well they performed.
