Tech-Enabled Patient Care
Healthcare has always been a very personal field. But many feel that as technology advances and government mandates increase, we are moving further and further away from a focus on patient experience and their personal needs. With this project, we were able to serve the need for advanced software development for operational efficiency, and incorporate the data gleaned into an in-depth data dashboard that helped our client understand and better care for its millions of patients.
Enabling Complex Healthcare Data Integration and Analysis
The technology behind this data-rich project was two-fold. First, Tallan worked with this healthcare client to develop a custom claim and enrollment processing system leveraging our proprietary T-Connect suite of products. With the increased efficiency and automation enabled by T-Connect, the client was free to focus on the most important aspect of their business - their patients. Tallan leveraged Microsoft’s Power BI to capture and visualize the activity enabled by this processing system into a real-time dashboard that has helped the group better understand the patients they are serving.
In this dashboard, information including diagnosis and procedure information can be filtered and compared by demographics such as age, gender and geography to understand patterns in patient healthcare challenges and needs. The client can now compare these important patterns to data outlining the hospitals and health plans providing their care to uncover opportunities in product development and customer service.
