Introduction
As part of our ongoing commitment to enhance the Fabric admin experience, we introduced two valuable features, each designed to make the lives of administrators more efficient. First one was the recently introduced “Visual Cues,” a feature that provides a summary of all new settings at the top of the admin portal, along with a “new” icon for easy identification as administrators scroll through the list of settings. Building on this enhancement, we are excited to introduce another user-focused feature: keyword-based filtering. This latest addition further elevates the Fabric Admin Portal experience by offering an efficient means for administrators to locate and manage settings effortlessly.
Fabric Admin Portal
The Fabric Admin Portal serves as a central hub for administrators, streamlining essential tasks such as feature access management and security configurations.
Efficient Tenant Setting Management
The newly implemented keyword-based filtering feature enhances the Fabric Admin Portal, addressing the challenge of navigating through a long list of settings. Here’s how it operates:
- Search Bar: Upon entering the portal, users are greeted by a prominent search bar at the top right corner. Administrators can input specific keywords associated with the settings they’re looking for. The settings are filtered by matching the entered keywords with the words found in the titles and descriptions of the settings. For example, by searching for “preview”, you can filter for all features currently in preview and by searching for B2B you can look into settings associated with B2B data sharing feature.
- Real-Time Filtering: As keywords are entered, the portal instantly filters and displays relevant settings. This real-time refinement removes irrelevant options from view.
- Effortless Navigation: Once the desired setting is identified, administrators can promptly access and modify it without navigating through multiple sections.
