The November session of Power BI Dev Camp will be hosted by Rui Romano of the Power BI Customer Advisory Team (PBICAT). In this developer-centric, deep dive session, Rui will discuss challenges faced by Power BI admins with monitoring and troubleshooting multiple on-premises Data Gateway Clusters. With each cluster having multiple servers that are responsible for connecting their data sources to the Power BI service in the cloud, investigating errors or performance issues across the gateway logs can become a complex task.
In this Power BI Dev Camp session, Rui will demonstrate the pbigtwmonitor solution which he has published to GitHub. By learning how to test and deploy this solution, you can learn how to help Power BI admins quickly access all gateway logs for an entire Power BI tenant and to explore the gateway logs, counters and queries on a pre-built Power BI Report.
Attendee Prerequisites: It is recommended (but not required) that attendees have familiarity with writing and testing PowerShell scripts and deploying them to an Azure Function App.
