Power BI User Groups are here!

Headshot of article author Miguel Martinez

Since we launched the Power BI Community in June, it has been amazing to see how users from around the world have come together to learn, share best practices, and give feedback on where the product and community should evolve.  One thing we heard loud and clear was that users wanted to meet in person too, and so we’re excited today to announce the launch of Power BI User Groups.  These user groups, affectionately known as PUGs, bring together people who are passionate about Power BI to share, learn and grow their skills and opportunities. Whether you are brand new to the world of analytics or an expert, PUGs are a community for people from every profession, background and age.

Find a PUG near you today and join an upcoming meeting.  Some PUGs are newly-formed to focus exclusively on Power BI, but in many cases we’ve welcomed existing user groups who have decided, along with their existing membership, to focus on learning and evangelizing Power BI.  Microsoft supports PUGs with exclusive content and materials to help each group learn and use Power BI, but PUGs are independently run by dedicated group leaders, who tailor the groups to the needs of their respective membership.  So if you don’t see a group near you, you can step up and submit an application to start your own.

Share your passion. Join the fun. Calling all fans, data nerds, and newbies.
