Headshot of article author The Power BI Team

“For many companies data is buried treasure. There are riches in there that can completely and utterly transform a company’s fortunes, but they don’t do you any good if you don’t have the tools to dig them up” according to Geoff Carter, writer of Amir Netz profile on Microsoft Stories. Over the last month we made several improvements to Power Query, Power Map and Data Source Management. We also saw 10 great examples on how companies from different geographies and industries are successfully using Power BI today. With the World Cup’s first game on June 12th, we saw how Marc Reguera used Power View to unlock insights from historic data, how Q&A can help anyone analyze data on the fly just asking questions and getting visualizations back, and how Power Map can help you tell a simple story in a beautiful way.
