Power BI November 2024 Feature Summary

Welcome to the November 2024 update. We’re thrilled to introduce Copilot in Power BI Mobile apps, bringing AI to your fingertips for a smarter, faster way to explore data on the go. This month’s update also includes a new Path layer for the Azure Map visual, making geospatial analysis even more powerful by helping you easily map connections between multiple locations. We’re also introducing the OneLake catalog, the latest evolution of the OneLake data hub, offers a unified platform for data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and decision-makers to browse, manage, and govern data seamlessly—all from one intuitive interface.

Happy Second Birthday to Power BI

Today, Power BI is two years old! When we released the new Power BI service, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Mobile on July 24, 2015, we knew we had an innovative business intelligence solution, but we didn’t expect to create such an inspiring community of data and reporting professionals. Over the last year we’ve continued to add new features, improve existing tools, and integrate even better with our fellow Microsoft products, while maintaining the same commitment to quality. Responsive visualizations coming to Power BI

The Power BI mobile experience continues to evolve. In addition to much loved “just works” capabilities – dashboards and reports that just work on mobile – Power BI is providing more ways to create experiences optimized for devices of all sizes. For example, dashboards and reports optimized for phones allow even more control over the small-screen experience. Delivering a rich visualization on a large screen and then preserving that richness in a small screen can be a challenge. To address this challenge, we’ve created responsive visualizations.
