Power BI November 2024 Feature Summary

Welcome to the November 2024 update. We’re thrilled to introduce Copilot in Power BI Mobile apps, bringing AI to your fingertips for a smarter, faster way to explore data on the go. This month’s update also includes a new Path layer for the Azure Map visual, making geospatial analysis even more powerful by helping you easily map connections between multiple locations. We’re also introducing the OneLake catalog, the latest evolution of the OneLake data hub, offers a unified platform for data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and decision-makers to browse, manage, and govern data seamlessly—all from one intuitive interface.

Join Us! Monthly Power BI Dev Camp is Here! Starting Thursday August 27, 2020

This month’s Power BI Dev Camp topic is “Developing with .NET Core”. Learn how to develop custom web applications for Power BI using .NET Core 3.1 and .NET 5. In this session, campers will learn best practices for acquiring and caching access tokens in cloud-based development and learn a structured approach for implementing Power BI embedding. Campers will also learn how to integrate Node.js and webpack support into a .NET Core web application project to achieve strongly-typed programming when writing client-side TypeScript code against the Power BI JavaScript API.

Re-imagine headers and navigation in the Power BI Mobile apps

As Power BI becomes a key tool for decision makers, more and more content is being created and published for them. Being able to easily find that content, to navigate between related items, and to share relevant content with colleagues has become critical to making these users productive when using Power BI and the Power BI Mobile apps. In the last few months the team has being working on improving navigation in the Power BI mobile apps to make it easier for our users to understand their content hierarchy and to navigate between items quickly. We’ve also made it easier to share relevant content with colleagues.
