Adastra Corporation - Manufacturing Plant Production Dashboard
Adastra has developed a Trends Analysis solution to track the downtime of the manufacturing plant production line. There is a loss of productivity every time a production line is down. Trends for both planned (no scheduled production activities, company event) or unplanned (production incidents or malfunctions) downtime incidents are captured. The objective is to identify the areas of concerns and take necessary corrective actions to reduce production downtime, thereby increasing the productivity of the plant.

Through this report executives can get a quick summary of the frequency and duration of the failures or downtime incidents occurring at their plants; primary reasons which a downtime incident occurs and which plants and the corresponding production lines have a higher tendency to have downtime compared to others. The business can do this analysis for all the plants in the organization or focus on a specific plant or production line or shift times. This is achieved through slicers on the top of the page. They can additionally view the information for the current financial period by default or select a specific date range through a Current Month toggle switch.
Chart 1 shows the breakdown of total downtime duration and the number of such occurrence by production line for the timeframe selected.
Chart 2 shows the breakdown of the total downtime duration and the number of such occurrence by source reason that lead to the downtime (e.g. Line Upgrade or No Orders etc.).
Chart 3 shows the breakdown of total downtime duration and the number of such occurrence by failure code associated with the incident.
Chart 4 shows the 90-day trend of the downtime hours and number of incidents. The bottom right chart list the comments associated with the downtime incident. The button on the top right is the “Help” button, which provides business information related to the report.
Budgeted vs Actual Volume - Summary by Plant
This strategic management report developed by Adastra provides Summary and Detail views of various Demand Planning and other related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The report is mainly based on the projected monthly Budgeted Volume and then compared with various other KPIs on a month-to-month basis. The primary objective of this report is to provide a Month-To-Date (MTD) and Year-To-Date (YTD) snapshots of Budgeted Volume and compare the same with other KPIs to compute variances and highlight them based on the actual performance. The KPIs reported are as follows
- Budgeted Volume (Budgeted Forecast)
- Planned Forecast (Primary Forecast)
- Current Latest Estimates (Quarterly Forecast)
- Firmed Orders (Firmed Sales Blankets (SB’s))
- Unit Produced (Quantity Produced against Work Orders)
- Units Actually Shipped (Quantity Shipped against Sales Orders (SO’s))
Further, based on above KPIs, following key “Ratios” are also included in this report;
- Planned Vs Budgeted Volume (%)
- Current LE Vs Budgeted Volume (%)
- Firmed Orders Vs Budgeted Volume (%)
- Actual Shipped Vs Budgeted Volume (%)
The report can account for the current fiscal period by default or for a specific historical fiscal period and year using a 'Current Month' toggle switch. The user has the ability to slice the information by customer and manufacturing plants. MTD/YTD toggle switch gives users the ability to view the grid and chart for either Month to Date timeframe or for Year to Date Timeframes. The next page further breakdowns the KPIs by brand information.
