Today, we are further enabling external tools to work with Power BI datasets, this time from within the Power BI Desktop authoring experience. We are excited to announce the public preview of external tool support in Power BI Desktop.

Large models remove this limitation, so dataset cache sizes are limited only by the Power BI Premium capacity size.
