Power BI November 2020 Feature Summary

Our anomaly detection algorithm detects that there is an anomaly this month: Anomaly Detection is in preview! Also, we are announcing a preview of the new Field List and the Model View. We are adding a fan-favorite: the Visual Zoom Slider! In the Service, endorsements for datasets and dataflows are extended to reports and apps, enabling business users to be confident they are making decisions based on the right data.  Anomaly detection helps you enhance your line charts by automatically detecting anomalies in your time series data. It also provides explanations for the anomalies to help with root cause analysis.  With just a couple of clicks, you can easily find insights without slicing and dicing the data.

Join us! Power BI Dev Camp! Thursday 19 November, 2020

In this camp session, we examine how to query and modify Power BI datasets using C# and the Tabular Object Model (TOM). The session will explain how to connect to a local data model running in Power BI Desktop as well as how to connect to data models in the Power BI Service through the XMLA endpoint. Campers will learn how to write C# programs to automate some of the more tedious aspects of building Power BI data models as well as how to integrate these programs into Power BI Desktop with its support for external tools.

Power BI Premium per user public preview now available

The date you have long waited for has finally arrived!  The public preview of Power BI Premium per user has been enabled in all public tenants that requested priority access, and will be rolling out to all tenants worldwide throughout the month of November.  Now, Power BI users have access to all the Power BI Premium capabilities, on a per user basis, for the entire trial period for free.
