Power BI June 2021 Feature Summary

Welcome to the June update! Loads of updates on connectors this time around. Also, DirectQuery support for Dataflows is now generally available! On top of that, we are happy to announce the preview of the paginated reports visual – we know many of you have been eagerly awaiting it, so take it for a spin and provide your feedback! Power BI March 2021 Feature Summary

This month, we are continuing our work on the ongoing previews of DirectQuery for PowerBI datasets and Azure Analysis Services, Small Multiples, and the Model View UI. Also, we are making it easier to specify filters in the DAX CALCULATE function. On the Service side, when you click on a dataset in the workspace list view you will be taken to our new dataset details page, which includes information about when the report was last refreshed as well as actions such as creating a new report. Power BI February 2021 Feature Summary

Welcome to the first feature summary of 2021! Power BI November 2020 Feature Summary

Our anomaly detection algorithm detects that there is an anomaly this month: Anomaly Detection is in preview! Also, we are announcing a preview of the new Field List and the Model View. We are adding a fan-favorite: the Visual Zoom Slider! In the Service, endorsements for datasets and dataflows are extended to reports and apps, enabling business users to be confident they are making decisions based on the right data. Power BI Desktop April 2020 Feature Summary

We have a ton of great updates this release! We’re excited to announce a new visual personalization feature to allow your end-users to explore and personalize visuals all within the consumption view of a report! Also this month, if you’re interested in fast refresh scenarios, you will find these new features very useful: change detection for page refresh and support for relative time filters in minutes and hours. On top of this, we are releasing several other features, including rectangular lasso select across visuals, conditional formatting for totals and subtotals, Direct Query support for AI visuals: decomposition tree and key influencers, several updates to Q&A, and more!

Power BI Desktop March 2020 Feature Summary

We have great updates this month! We are releasing new button actions, multi-column sort for tables, dual axis for line chart, a search for the filter pane, updates to decomposition tree, and much more! We are also releasing a preview of an enhanced dataset metadata feature, which will be foundational for XMLA read/write and for management of Power BI dataset and the migration of Analysis Services workloads to Power BI.
