Webinars for June 20-28: Power BI Security and Introduction to M by Chris Webb

Headshot of article author Charles Sterling

We are pleased to announce that the Power BI team will now be presenting two webinars per week! The first webinar will be held on Tuesdays, and hosted by an industry expert or community leader sharing their knowledge, best practices, and guidance with the world. The second webinar will be held on Thursdays, and will feature members of the Power BI development team talking what we have just released and our upcoming plans. Both webinars will be hosted by Senior Program Manager Charles Sterling.

Let's take a look at what webinars are happening the week of June 20th and beyond:

Introduction to M in Power BI, by Chris Webb

Behind Power BI’s data load and transformation functionality is the M language. In this session you’ll learn what kind of scenarios you’ll need to use the M language, as well as its basic syntax. You’ll also see several practical examples of how to use M in the wild, for example separating connection details from queries to make them easy to update, creating and using functions, handling missing or changed data sources, and calling web services.
