» 閱讀更多We are announcing support for user impersonation using the EffectiveUserName connection-string property. This is truly exciting because it opens the door for mass migrations of tabular Analysis Services solutions that rely on EffectiveUserName-based impersonation to Power BI. It also opens new options for administrative tools and scripts to connect to datasets on Power BI Premium using different user identities! Impersonating another user can be as easy as specifying that user’s UPN on the connection string.

» 閱讀更多Today, I am excited to announce the general availability of new APIs for managing data refresh in the Power BI service. These new APIs will allow you to programmatically trigger data refreshes and retrieve refresh history for any dataset that you own. With these versatile new tools, you’ll be able to easily automate and scale out Power BI data refresh management – no more clicking through dataset settings or flipping through refresh histories. In addition, these APIs open the door to integrating data refresh into your existing ETL or deployment processes. You could, for example, trigger Power BI data refresh as the last step in your Azure Data Factory ETL pipeline. And, as an ISV, you can easily manage the data for all your embedded analytics solutions.

On that note, we are excited to announce that version 1.4 was just released, introducing localization support, so now custom visuals are aware of the locale, and can localize the content of the visual accordingly.
