Visualizing views in Dynamics 365 with Power BI is now generally available

We’re very excited to announce that the Power BI integration in Dynamics 365 and model driven Power Apps, which shipped as a preview last December, is now generally available. Dynamics 365 and model driven Power Apps give organizations the ability to quickly build essential line-of-business apps in a low-code environment, increasing agility and modernizing processes. Since these apps are all built on top of Dataverse, they’re backed by your core business data. With this integration directly on views, information workers are now able to tap into this data and explore it using Power BI’s powerful data analytics capabilities without ever needing to leave their app. Just click the ‘Visualize this view’ button and let Power BI automatically create a report on top of the exact data you were looking at.

Help us shape the future of Power BI – Exploring the idea of Integrating Power BI with Microsoft Forms

Back in May 2021, we announced the integration of the new Power BI quick create experience within SharePoint, which enabled the SharePoint users to easily generate awesome Power BI reports by just one click. Currently, we are exploring other applications where we could potentially integrate a similar experience and one of the application that we are exploring is MS Forms. We have created a survey to compile feedback from our customers on a potential integration with Microsoft Forms. If your organization uses Microsoft Forms and/or Microsoft Power BI, we would encourage you to make your voices heard by completing this ~5 mins survey.

Quickly create reports from SharePoint lists

Back in December, we launched a new create experience within the Power BI service that allowed you to quick explore your data with just a few clicks. Now, we’re excited to announce, as our first integration of this experience, the launch of our Power BI integration within SharePoint lists. This experience empowers SharePoint list and Microsoft List users to easily explore their list data with just a few clicks.

Power BI May 2021 Feature Summary
