Introducing org apps, now in preview – multiple apps per workspace, custom colors, and more!

We’re excited to tell you more about org apps, now in public preview. Fabric org apps are Power BI workspace apps rebuilt for Fabric as a new item type. With org apps as items, you can create multiple org apps per workspace. And you work with org apps the way you would any other item type – from creating a new org app, saving changes, managing access, to sharing the org app – all the things you find familiar and easy about managing other items, such as reports, will be familiar with org apps as items.

Announcing Metrics Sets are widely available in Preview

The blog post introduces the Metric Sets Public Preview, a feature designed to enhance metric management across organizations by providing a centralized, consistent, and trusted metric system. Key benefits include centralized metric management, enabling organizations to store and organize metrics in one place to avoid duplication and data silos; enhanced discoverability with intuitive search features; seamless integration with tools like Power BI and notebooks; rich visualization options for easier data consumption; and built-in security and governance for reliable metrics. Looking ahead, further enhancements are planned, including advanced integrations and a more robust desktop experience. Organizations are encouraged to try the feature to improve data quality and boost decision-making.

Power BI November 2024 Feature Summary

Welcome to the November 2024 update. We’re thrilled to introduce Copilot in Power BI Mobile apps, bringing AI to your fingertips for a smarter, faster way to explore data on the go. Announcing: Admin monitoring workspace is now available in US government cloud tenants (GCC, GCC High, DoD)

Tenant Administrators need out-of-box datasets and reports to understand tenant level adoption and deep dive on such details as active users and artifact activities. The Admin Monitoring Workspace delivers curated insights that help you better manage, administer and govern your tenant. This update provides the Admin Monitoring workspace in the US Government Cloud Tenants (GCC, GCC High, DoD).
