Welcome to the first feature summary of 2021! This month, we have a couple of updates on ongoing previews, as well as a new color picker that features RGB color selector and a search bar to make discovery of features easier. We have heard your feedback that you would like to do this with sources you previously live connected to, like Power BI datasets and Azure Analysis Services sources. This long-awaited addition allows report authors to use DirectQuery to connect to Azure Analysis Services or Power BI Datasets as sources in combination with other DirectQuery and imported data

In the data preparation area, we’ve introduce query diagnostics, which allow you to see what queries are being run behind the scenes. On the reporting side, we are taking a huge step forward in terms of real time reporting, with our new automatic page refresh feature. This feature lets you trigger refreshes for your DirectQuery-based report at regular intervals. Q&A has also been completely revamped this month, with a new Q&A visual, tooling, and improved user experiences.
