At the end of the day, attendees will better understand how to:

  • Connect to, import, and transform data from a variety of sources.
  • Define business rules and KPIs.
  • Explore data with powerful visualization tools.
  • Build stunning reports.
  • Share dashboards with their team and business partners, and publish them to the web.
The last two hours of the workshop are dedicated to attendees building reports and dashboards out of their own data with the support of their instructor.

All Dashboard in a Day workshop assets—presenter decks, demo scripts, step-by-step student hands-on lab and datasets, plus a video on how to execute a successful event—are updated monthly by the Power BI engineering team and are offered free to all Microsoft Partner Network partners.

Dashboard in a Day content is available in nine languages: Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese-Simplified (Mandarin), English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.

Important guidance:

  • Changes to the dataset are not allowed.
  • If partners make any changes to the content, they should not brand the event as DIAD.
  • The presenters should be very familiar with Power BI and able to answer any customer questions related to the class or Power BI in general.
